BOOKING 2026 & BEYOND

There is something about a wedding in Temecula Wine Country that already feels romantic, but this Lake Oak Meadows wedding was especially beautiful.
From the tree-lined paths and lakeside ceremony to the cobblestone roads and warm California light, every part of this day felt relaxed, romantic and full of personality. Add in a pastel wedding party that wasn’t afraid to have a little fun, and there was no shortage of moments to photograph.
Lake Oak Meadows Weddings and Events is tucked into Temecula Wine Country and is one of those wedding venues that gives you so much variety without ever having to leave the property. The venue features landscaped grounds, gardens, a picturesque lake, fountains and plenty of trees and greenery.
As a wedding photographer, that variety is such a gift.
We could move from romantic portraits beneath the trees to photographs along the cobblestone paths, then completely change the look again once that gorgeous golden-hour light started coming through.
And when the light looks like this, we’re absolutely sneaking away for a few more portraits.

One of my favorite things about this wedding was the color palette.
Instead of having every bridesmaid in the same color, the dresses included soft shades of lavender, mint, blush, blue, peach and yellow. Paired with the guys’ gray suits and the groom’s deep navy, everything felt colorful while still being soft and romantic.
But the best part?
This wedding party was FUN.
The guys messing around by the vintage truck, the girls laughing together, everyone crowding around the bride and groom—those photographs tell me so much more about a wedding day than everyone standing perfectly still and smiling at the camera.
I’ll always get you the beautiful, classic portraits.
But I’m also going to make sure we leave room for the photos that actually feel like you and your people.

The ceremony space at Lake Oak Meadows is surrounded by trees, water and greenery, creating a beautiful outdoor setting without needing an overwhelming amount of additional décor.
Rows of white chairs lined the stone aisle while florals framed the ceremony space at the water’s edge.
It was simple, romantic and let the setting speak for itself.
Lake Oak Meadows is especially photography-friendly because the venue allows wedding photos throughout the property. That meant we could create completely different looks throughout the day while keeping everything convenient for the bride, groom and wedding party.
After the ceremony, guests moved into the tented reception space.
The reception design carried the soft colors from the wedding party into the details, with lavender napkins, colorful florals, warm wood chairs and farmhouse tables beneath flowing white draping.
The chandelier hanging above the reception space brought everything together.
This is also why I always photograph the reception area before the party starts whenever the timeline allows.
You spend months choosing the flowers, linens, place settings and tiny details that bring your wedding vision together. Before long, those tables are covered in drinks, purses, jackets and half-eaten plates.
Those untouched detail photographs become part of the story too.

And then came my favorite part of the day.
Golden hour.
As the sun dropped behind the trees at Lake Oak Meadows, we stepped away for a few minutes of bride and groom portraits.
Not an hour.
Not another entire portrait session.
Just a few minutes together while the light was perfect.
Those few minutes gave us some of the most romantic photographs from the entire wedding.
This is something I love building into wedding timelines because beautiful wedding photography doesn’t have to mean spending your entire wedding day taking pictures.
I want you to have gorgeous portraits and actually experience your wedding.

My approach to wedding photography is a mix of direction and documentary storytelling.
I’ll tell you where to stand when you need me to. I’ll fix the dress, find the good light and give you something to do when you’re suddenly wondering what you’re supposed to do with your hands.
But I’m also watching for everything happening when nobody is thinking about the camera.
Your bridesmaids laughing while getting ready.
The guys playing pool before the ceremony.
Your best friends being ridiculous during wedding-party photos.
The way you look at each other when you’re walking back to the reception.
The people you love gathered together in one place.
Because years from now, I don’t just want you to remember what your wedding looked like.
I want you to remember what it felt like.

After photographing this property, I know just how much variety it offers—from the lake and tree-lined grounds to the cobblestone paths and that dreamy Temecula golden-hour light.
If you’re looking for a Temecula wedding photographer who will give you the romantic portraits you want while still capturing the laughter, movement, connection and little in-between moments that make the day yours, I’d love to hear what you’re planning.
