Of course we'll get the photograph where everyone is looking at the camera. I call that "Grandma's Christmas Card".
But I'm also watching for the way your toddler reaches for your hand. The belly laugh you didn't know I caught. The way your oldest still leans into you. Your partner's hand resting on your growing belly.
Those little things may feel ordinary right now.
One day, they won't.

Seriously.
They don't need to sit perfectly still, look at my camera and smile on command.
Let them play. Let them be silly. Let them need a snack halfway through.
